Hardin County Pet Protection is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1988 with the goal of reducing the pet overpopulation problem in Hardin and surrounding rural Kentucky counties.
Using a voucher program until October 2011, HCPP subsidized, either in full or in part, over 15,000 spay/neuter surgeries for pets belonging to low-income families as well as pets available for adoption.
On April 6, 2012 HCPP held our first spay/neuter event at our own clinic, Pet Pros. We are now offering spay/neuter clinics most Thursdays.
As one of our primary fundraisers, Hardin County Pet Protection owns and operates Buried Treasure Thrift Shop. Buried Treasure accepts donations of all sorts of household goods for resale and the profits from the store are used to fund our spay/neuter & pet wellness programs.
